Erin is a Research Assistant and PhD candidate in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at Deakin University.

Erin’s research interests include aquaculture, nutrition (human, fish and ruminants) and phycology. In particular, Erin’s work focusses on the benefits of seaweeds and microalgae in both human and animal diets. Since large-scale plant aquaculture is an emerging industry, Erin’s research is integral to the development of robust and economically viable seaweed farming practices in Australia.

Erin has presented at both international and domestic conferences, has publications in high quality peer-reviewed journals, and has received several awards for outstanding academic performance during her candidature.
