Dr. Weifang Wang

Dr. Weifang Wang, an abalone nutritional specialist visited NuSea.Lab for a one-year period starting from January 2023 to January 2024 as a visiting scientist from the State Key Laboratory of Mariculture Biobreeding and Sustainable Goods, Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Qingdao, China. Her expertise in abalone nutrition and laboratory skills were well received and recognised within the NuSea.Lab team allowing her to share her knowledge and expertise with the Australian and international researchers affiliated to NuSea.Lab.
Dr. Wang carried out two aquaculture experiments on hybrid abalone nutrition with the applications of two exogenous digestive enzymes. In addition, Dr, Wang contributed to ongoing abalone aquaculture experiments at NuSea.Lab. Dr Wang’s was accompanied by her husband, and her children (a son and a daughter). Dr. Wang’s family called Australia their home during their stay. They enjoyed the unique Australian experience by visiting various natural and built environment including parks, and cities across several Australian states.
